IMPROVING THE TENTH-GRADE STUDENTS’ READING COMPREHENSION ACHIEVEMENT THROUGH KWL (KNOW-WANT LEARN) STRATEGY

The objective of this research was to get empirical evidence the improving tenth grade students’ reading comprehension achievement through KWL (Know-Want-Learn) Strategy narrative text. population students at SMK Negeri 2 Palembang. There were 806 and 60 taken as sample purposively. They divided into groups. Namely, experimental group control group. Each consisted 30 students. In collecting data, test used (pretest posttest). writer paired t-test (pretest- posttest) independent t-test. conclusion, there using Know-Want-Learn strategy text, it could be seen from results pretest 50.73 posttest increased 78.60. mean score 13.267. in 48.07. 61.53. 6.867. And also significant difference between showed that 78.60 pretest-posttest
